Prices for the London 1012 Olympics tickets are going sky high as deadline approaches.
It appears that only 50% of the tickets for the mayor events are available for the public because, the other 50% are for the sponsors. On June 24th the ones that have been successful with applying will be notified.
More than 2.5 million people signed up on the official website and that is even before the tickets went on sale. There is an overflow in ticket applications. Prices range from £20. To £ 2,012.
There is also a ticket limit. People will be allowed to buy up to 20 tickets in total. There are 360 sessions and 26 sports during 17 days. The most popular events have a limit of four tickets per person.
People are very excited and enthusiastic with the huge event. Bellow you can find the London 2012 official ticket site.
When I first saw this news I was thrilled. I hope to witness at least one of the events. This is my first time in Europe and I would really like to take the opportunity to go. I think it is super that the Olympics is talking place in London. I think the price range is well but I am afraid that the £ 20 may have a catch. If not I find it great that all kinds of people with different budget can participate in the event. People in Europe should make good use of the opportunity to visit at least one of the events. Maybe it is because I come from a far and small Island but in my opinion it is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and I will do my best to experience it. Hope to see someone familiar thereJ
It is really nice to hear that the 2012 Olympics will take place in London. I am really fond of this city and I also hope I could visit it during the Olympics. Like you said, we should make good use of the opportunity. If I get a chance, I would definitely make use of it and go. As for the tickets, it is disappointing that only 50% of the tickets are available for the public, I bet it will be sold out soon, because of the millions of excited people who want to visit the events.
