Marriages affected by wives 'poor sleep but not husbands’

A study found that relationships can suffer if woman have a restless night but the same is not true for men. When a woman has trouble sleeping she and her man are more likely to have arguments the following day. But when a man lies awake the whole night there would be no arguments.
Wendy Troxel, professor of psychiatry at the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine found that wives who have sleep problems affects her own and spouse’s marital functioning the next day.
She studied 35 healthy couple´s in their thirties without a history of mental or health problems. Over 10 nights their nocturnal movements were recorded, all this to know how long it took them to fall asleep and how long they slept. The couple´s were asked to mark in a diary how many positive marital interactions they enjoyed the following day.
The results clearly show the longer it took for women to sleep, the more likely they would encounter relationship problems the following day. However the husband´s sleep did not affect him or his wives marital interactions the next day.

Opinion:
This explains everything. We are not actually the reason we sometimes pick fights. It is actually because of a lack of beauty sleep. Men should be kind enough to make get a good night’s rest and get the amount of sleep necessary for a fit day without rows. Men lay awake thinking about basketball, baseball and American football and sometimes even about the stupid things Charlie Harper does and say. Women lie awake thinking about the millions of things they have to do and all the bills to pay and sometimes about that beautiful dress she saw in the show case and if she can make some time to at least try it on. So men, take good care of us and our oh so important beauty sleep and the next day would be just a perfect, normal, loving day.

Robber hid stolen safe under skirt

A woman involved in a £30,000 robbery walked out with a safe hidden under her skirt. Police said: ‘’She was struggling to walk with the safe between her legs.’’ The safe held thousands of pounds in cash and heavy gold jewellery. While she was walking into a private area of the shop, five other members of an Asian gang distracted the staff. There hidden cameras show her entering the store wearing long trousers and leaving in a long wide skirt.
Shop keeper Jagdish Duhre said:”I started shaking when I saw the safe disappeared. The jewellery was really precious and worth thousands.” Mrs Duhre and husband Nirmal, both 60, were not in Bentley food and Wines in Doncaster, South Yorks during the robbery. Police are investigating the case and they suspect that the four men and two women may have carried out an earlier £30,000 robbery on a shop in Hatfield, don caster.

This is unbelievable. I have a feeling that robbers don’t know what else to invent. In a few years you won’t know what to expect. I read an article about robberies in houses and companies where the robbers are not afraid of the landlord and will kill or do other cruel things not to get interrupted with his mission. In my opinion people who carry guns to protect themselves are not crazy. The crazy ones are the ones who rob your house and hurt you if you catch them. So buy a gun and be prepared.

British academics launch private university in London

New college of the Humanities offer the “highest quiality”education to gifted undergraduates. The college is privately owned and will open in September 2012 and is planning to charge fees of £18, oo
There are 14 professors behind the project based in Bloomsbury, central London, the new college will offer eight undergraduate humanities degrees taught by some of the world’s most prominent intellectuals. The priorities will be excellent teaching quality and a strongly supportive and responsive learning environment. The college will prepare students for degrees in law, economics, history and English literature. Students will also take three "intellectual skills" modules in science literacy, logic and critical thinking and applied ethics.
The college claims to offer a "new model of higher education for the humanities in the UK".

Wow, this looks like an over the top all intellectual college. I think it’s rather interesting that in London professors try to top other colleges. The result will be that most colleges will try everything to be on top. That means better education and college system. And the fee, you won’t get just anybody in that college because off course not everybody can afford it. They give English literature there, so if you’re interested start saving and hopefully in a couple of years you’re good to go!http://www.bbc.co.uk/news

England mascot honour for disabled boy Ben Baddeley

Ben has been told he would always use a wheelchair. That changed because surprisingly enough, Ben walked out on the Wembley pitch with the England football team.
Ben Braddeley from Newcastle in Staffordshire has spastic diplegia cerebral palsy and should not be able to walk unaided. But he walked beside the England team as the team’s mascot in the match against Switzerland. His first steps were after using a trike designed to strengthen his legs.
It was Ben´s first visit to Wembley. His father said”: it’s always been a dream of his to go to Wembley stadium.’’ Ben said he was really excited to be making the trip and it seems like a dream come true. He still has to wear splints inside his shoes but that has not stopped him from playing football.

This story caught my eye because it seems like a miracle. He was not supposed to walk ever again and then look what happens. He is only 7 years old and has a long future in front of him. It is nice to hear that people don’t give up when they hear doctors say that a situation is not able to change. If the parents gave up Ben would not be walking today. But they tried everything before giving up. I am sure Ben has made many plans now that his life has changed completely, I would do the same thing.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england

Man 'tried to open door' of Mombasa to Gatwick plane

Thomas Lewis Hughes has been charged with endangering the safety on an aircraft. He tried to open an exit door in the middle of the flight. The 56 year old has been accused of acting recklessly and without neglect on the flight between Kenya and London Gatwick airport, westsussex, and last may.
Mr Hughes, of Anglesey is still on bail by magistrates in Crawley. The incident happened on a Monarch Airplane from Mombasa. He has to appear before Crawley magistrates on June 30 for committal proceedings.
Police are investigating the reason in which Mr Hughes wanted to commit such an action while the plane was full of people.
In my opinion Mr Hughes is completely out of his mind. He must have some kind of mental disease because no one in their right mind would do such a thing. He is not only endangering his own life but lives of innocent people. I bet there were also children aboard who are only now starting to live and someone with personal problems or what so ever wants to take that away from them. I ask myself how did this happen? Didn’t anyone notice anything strange about his behaviour? I think the best was to tackle the situation not to leave him get on a plane ever again. If he wants to travel he has to just do it by train.

Lives at risk warning' over rogue signs at Wyke

A bizarre situation occurred on Woodside Road, in Wyke, Bradford. “Irresponsible and stupid “practical jokers changed a rogue 40 mph speed limit sign in a 30 mph zone. Hundreds of perplexed motorists have been flashed by a speed camera.
Someone who loves nearby said the camera had flashed like a strobe disco light after motorists unwittingly sped up before passing the sign. The sign has been removed by Bradford council; they believe the sign was installed by a member of the public.
Darren Bedrock, Bradford council’s principal engineer said:”the 40mph sign was not put up by the council and appears to have been placed there by a member of the public. “Whoever put it up may think it was just a practical joke but it is actually crassly irresponsible.”
The Bradford council lowered the limit to 30 mph because there had been 157 casualties on the A641 over three years. Anyone who receives a fixed penalty and believes the unauthorized sign was a factor should contact the partnership.

This is indeed bizarre. Who would put up a sign to actually put the traffic in danger? But on the other hand, Drivers should use their own sense and judgment and on the safe side. There are many country roads where the national speed limit sign is displayed, but it is clearly not advisable to drive at that speed around every twisty bend and upon every single section of those roads. Another thought is that the Bradford made a mistake to put the 40 mph sign themselves and now blame it on a member of the public. We may never know.

Trafficked children 'sold in UK for £16,000'

A debate on human trafficking shows that children WHO are smuggled into the UK are sold on British streets for up to £ 16.000 each.
Mr. Mark field who is the conservative MP and also the one who charred the debate says human trafficking is the “modern equivalent of slavery” and also the most unpleasant by-product of globalisation. During the debate the home office minister Damien Green addressed that the government is doing all they can to put a stop on this trade of human misery.
According to Mr. Field they have a calculation that mostly woman and children are the ones being smuggled in the UK but it is impossible to know exactly how many.  The victims are forced into sexual and domestic services. A busy brothel with 5 to 10 girls in Central London will easily make £ 20.000 a week.
The Prime Minister David Cameron who was also present during the debate said:”We need to make sure we do everything we can to stamp out this repulsive practice.’’

In my opinion this situation is unbelievable. I cannot understand and I will not understand that in this era that we are living in people are actually still trafficking girls and women as slavery to perform dirty deeds. I am so against this human abuse. These children and women will never ever have a normal life. The past will pursue their everyday life, mentally and physically they are thorn for the rest of their lives. If they find the ones responsible for these acts of poverty, they should give them life in prison. Why? Because they destroy other lives of innocent people and believe me their lives are destroyed forever.
